Rubbers! and lots of em!

Rubber set

This was going cheap on ebay, so I thought why not? .. My flipper rubbers are working ok enough, but there are a few cracks appearing and they are filthy. The new ones are really tight! I pulled off [tee-hee] my flipper rubber last night and tried to put on the new one and I couldn’t do it! .. So I guess that means that my old ones are really worn and need replacing! I had a look round the playfield and I think I’m going to have to take off quite a few parts in order to fit these, so I think I’m going to leave it until I get to the cleaning stage, when everything will have to come off anyway.

I can’t believe how many little bits of rubber there are to replace! This bag has got to have about 30 different bits in it!

Did you just get black Rubbers?

I’ve been using white for mine, in a attempt to stop the black dust.

Yeah, there was a full set going cheap on ebay and since I’m not sure what needs replacing, I figured I could do with a full set. Also I’d heard that black rubber is more bouncy ;-).. and I think the black looks better with the trek theme than the red/white rubbers.

I can’t say that I noticed much black dust since I’ve been playing, but I don’t mind giving it a polish if/when it gets a bit dusty, if it’s in the name of fashion 😉
