Yeay, I fixed the internet!

Illinois Pinball have just replied to my email that I send last week asking where my order was! (Only after the part has been delivered! Bit late me thinks)

“Kati” gave me the UPS shipping number and apologised for not getting back to me sooner. Ok, so they made an effort.. 😐

I checked the UPS tracking and they acutally posted it on the 16th! 3 working days after I placed the order, so they actually aren’t that crap after all, it’s just that they didn’t say it was posted and the postage took ages!

I asked her why they don’t send out delivery emails and she said:

“I used to put the delivered status up when we shipped the items, but then it made a lot people mad because it had not been delivered, it had only been shipped, so after many complaints about that, I stopped doing it. “

It amazes me how retarded people are! Surely you wouldn’t assume that a parcel has been delivered to your house the second you get an email with the title “Delivered”?!

Anyway, I know the software that they’re using (osCommerce) quite well, so I emailed her back and told her how to go into the site configuration and change it so the emails will say “Shipped” or “Posted” instead of “Delivered”.. and she actually did it! 🙂

“Thank you very much for that info.  I did it and now no one should have many more problems.

Thanks,

Kati @ Illinois PinBall”

Huzzar! I fixed the internet! 😉

I don’t doubt that you may very well have saved the entire human race in the process of fixing the web.

You are truly crazy! A Pinball machine, and ST:NG no less! What could possibly be next? (Secretly I am envious and want to rush over and have a go!)

For the record:

Yes I did relocate within TO, no
I didn’t move back to my adopted nation, as I should have,

However, I am fully expecting you to sell all your worldly possessions, move to Canada and room with me. Well, not all your possessions. You can bring along that nifty pinball contraption of yours!
