Strobing Electronics

Way back in the mists of time my friend Darren sent me this link to a guy who’d made a “Time Fountain” by strobing some LEDs at some dripping water. It looks pretty cool, so I thought I’d have a go at making my own one. Unfortunately his circuit uses some crazy complicated looking programmable PIC processor.. So I decided to make something a little cheaper and simpler. It all started with a cunning plan scribbled on the back on an old envelope (more…)

I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted! Tee hee..

Exhausted

I’ve got a whole crap load of shiny attached to my bike :-) I went for my first proper ride with the new exhaust today and I think it’s really made a difference to the power which is cool. I think it’s also a little quieter than my last exhaust.. but then I might be comparing that to the sound it was making with the whopping great rusty holes in it ;-)

An obscure little one in the corner call F112 Solenoid Secondary with a bizarre 7Amp rating. It’s the only 7A fuse in the system and I didn’t have a replacement handy. I’ve ordered a set of 5 from pinball heaven, but I wanted to test everything just to make sure, so I did a bit of dodgy wiring ;-) .. I only had 5A and 15A fuse wire, so I decided to double up the 5A wire and attach it to the fuse slot: (more…)
