Long ago, stories were told in the ancient world of Hyrule about a Golden Land, with unknown powers, controlled by an omnipotent and omniscient golden power; known as the Triforce.
This omnipotent holy relic was created by the three goddesses of Hyrule; Din, Farore and Nayru. Imbued with their divine essences, it is the ultimate manifestation of power, wisdom and courage in Hyrule.
It is influenced by the heart of the one who touches it, whether good or evil, and possesses the ability to grant that person’s deepest desires.
It consists of three distinct entities represented by the three smaller triangles, each of which is also referred to as a Triforce when considered individually. Counter-clockwise from the top, these are the Triforce of Power, the Triforce of Wisdom, and the Triforce of Courage.
.. and here is the Triforce, held aloft by the great hero; Link!
🙂 so, now that you’ve got the background story, my mate Robert asked me to make him a little Triforce for the chain he wears. (more…)

Woe and joy! Yesterday I removed my power driver board to change my bridge rectifier.. I didn’t think this would do anything my highscores because the CPU board has it’s own batteries and is separate to the power driver board.. but when I powered back up again, ALL of my highscores had vanished!!! Not only that but Rachel’s retardo 5.3 BILLION highscore is still there as Grand Champion!!! So basically, all my efforts have been wiped out, but Rachel is still at the top! 🙁 [waves fist at sky]
To contrast that, check out this awesomely tacky original promo video for Star Trek The Next Generation Pinball! Crazy retro funkolicious! (more…)

After all my efforts to create my own plastics I finally decided to give up after I saw a shiny new set on sale at Pinball Heaven. I’m a bit miffed that I wasn’t able to make my own in the end, after all the effort I went to.. but I gave it a good go and I had fun, so hey, I was worth it! 🙂
The new plastics look awesome. The difference they make is really noticeable. The older plastics have obviously heavily faded over time. (more…)

When my divertor coil melted I assumed that I had the classic 8 driver problem of the TIP102 transistors failing on the 8 driver board.
At the time I took off my 8 driver and removed the transistor for the coil that turned to mush and tested it.. it was totally fuct (that’s “Function Use Completely Terminated” 😉 ). (more…)
